MDF products have improved significantly in the past decade and our high quality standard doors contain much lower
formaldehyde content that they traditionally did. Both our glue and primer are environmentally friendly and water based
products classified as non hazardous materials. Our standard doors are made of double refined MDF and contains less
than 0.75 parts per million (PPM) of formaldehyde conforming with the voluntary standard for formaldehyde emissions NPA 9-87.
In addition we offer a ‘Green’ line available in all designs which uses MDF that is SCS certified to contain no added formaldehyde sourced
from SierraPine a pioneer in the environmentally friendly building materials industry (see material certification on the right).
Supa Doors’ no-added formaldehyde MDF option is an ideal choice for developers concerned about indoor air quality
and the reduction of urea formaldehyde emissions. Utilized in some ‘Green Buildings’ (i.e. Millennium Tower residences NY, NY)
