In addition to the ability to withstand rigorous testing of positive pressure ratings fire doors are
inherently quiet doors and our 90 Minute Intumescent versions have been tested in several combinations with
results in the range of 35-37 STC.
PEACE OF MIND
Noise reduction has always been a primary benefit of MDF doors. To achieve significant noise reduction
in a room or apartment three main issues need to be addressed:
1. Proper Sealing between doors and jambs
2. Good seals in the door itself
3. High mass density

1. Doors constructed per order – Supa doors may be constructed per exact specifications in tolerances of
up to 1/16” of width & height. (SUPA doors where tested with ZERO brand gaskets available at most door shop)
2. Supa doors superior manufacturing and quality control process ensures that every door shipped has no
gaps or open seals between stiles, rails and panels
3. MDF, because of its weight and high density,is an excellent sound barrier; SUPA doors are available
in 1-3/8” or 1-3/4” with various panel thicknesscombinations. Additionally special order of 2-1/4”
